Workshops

At Sybourn Primary, we are proud to regularly invite parents to workshops to support their child's learning at home. The workshops are run in a friendly manner with practical activities, opportunities to ask questions and use teachers expertise alongside the chance to see and obtain resources to support parents with their children education.

Free adult classes are currently being held at Sybourn in a range of skills including:
  • English language classes
  • E-Safety and internet skills
  • First aid

Phonics Workshops
Phonics is a way of teaching children to read quickly and skilfully. Research shows that phonics, taught in a structured way, is the most effective way of teaching young children to read. We hold regular workshops to help parents support their children in developing phonics skills. To view the slides from our recent phonics workshop, click here.

e-safety CEOP Training
Workshops were held on the first week of Summer Term 1 for parents and students as part of e-safety Week. The week was aimed at raising awareness and developing skills to stay safe online. Sybourn Primary is working closing with CEOP (Children Exploitation and Online Protection) to educate others to practice e-safety, and is focused on working with parents and the community to keep our students safe online and offline.
