Sainsbury School Games Tennis Competition

As Bronze ambassadors we were invited along to attend the Year 4; Sainsburys school games tennis competition at Connaught Tennis club last Friday. Sybourn entered two teams in to the competition. As ambassadors we went along to encourage and help prepare the year 4 students before the game. We thought that it was a very well organised event and the competitors were very excited. the guest umpires from Chingford Foundation School helped to make it a very good competition.Both teams managed to make it in to the semi finals but unfortunately we did not manage to make it in to the next round. We would like to say well done to all the Year 4 students involved;

Ionut, Ayoub, Abderraouf, Roberto, Laura, Samarah, Eliz, Nosheen and Safiyyah.

Sport Relief
Sport Relief is a charity event from Comic Relief which brings together the worlds of sport and entertainment to raise money to help vulnerable people in both the UK and the poorest countries all over the world. At the heart of the campaign is the "Sport Relief Mile", which involves members of the public doing their bit for charity. This March, Sybourn Primary took part not only raise awareness to students but to run the mile to raise money for those in need. All year groups took part in an extremely energetic and uplifting day, where students encouraged each other and ran the mile with nothing but smiling faces. Below are some images reflecting the team spirit and determination the children displayed on the day.
